Projects

Sols Interlinked

  • In his upcoming debut album, Eden pairs each movement of Ravel’s Le Tombeau de Couperin with his original Ryuichi Sakamoto arrangements. A blend of inspiration informs this project: the past is given a second life through our memories, explored through the lens of French-Asian mutual musical fascination and influenced by the grief and joy of science fiction film classics Solaris and Blade Runner.

Paradise Lost

  • Eden mapped the rich mythology of Milton’s Paradise Lost onto the Liszt Sonata, combining 160 pieces of surrealist artwork by Spanish artist Pablo Auladell and live performance. The three mediums, separated by centuries, combine to illuminate new perspective on hope and despair.

In this excerpt, Satan infiltrates the dreams of a sleeping Eve, but is discovered by the archangel Michael.

Lullaby & Signature

  • Eden curated the poetry of Bert Meyers into text for 2 new jazz-inspired songs by A Bu. They juxtapose peace and human agency with technological annihilation.

Premiered at Kennedy Center and Merkin Hall with Chelsea Guo.

Cultural Diplomacy

  • Educated in International Business and Politics at Columbia University, Eden approaches his work as both artist and cultural diplomat - curious about how music can bridge difference and create shared understanding.

Most recently, he worked with the Saudi Music Commission to help establish the country’s first national music education program, teaching members of the royal Al-Saud family and advising on long-term evaluation frameworks for the initiative.

During his residency, Eden continued his work amid a period of regional instability, coordinating closely with U.S. and local partners to ensure program continuity and participant safety. The experience deepened his sensitivity to how cultural initiatives can sustain trust and understanding even in uncertain global conditions.

In addition to designing curriculum and gathering participant feedback, Eden sought instruction in traditional Arabic instruments, continuing to study them in his home studio as part of an ongoing dialogue between musical worlds.

Eden is currently collaborating with the Consul-General of Belgium to develop a concert series with violinist Timothy Chooi, winner of Belgium’s Queen Elisabeth Competition, strengthening cultural ties between Belgium and the United States. His own connection to Belgium began when the Belgian American Educational Foundation identified him for a Fellowship to the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel, the country’s leading classical institution.

As a Chinese-American artist, Eden has also contributed to U.S.–China cultural exchange through performances and educational programs across nine cities in China, including events hosted jointly by the Chinese Consulate in New York and the Shenzhen Exposition. He has appeared in numerous projects with his mentor, Lang Lang, furthering global dialogue through the universal language of performance.
